People can suffer a serious illness while they
are still working.
So, it makes sense to consider some form of health insurance.
However, the definition of 'serious illness' differs between
providers. For example, some critical illness cover or even permanent health insurance policies don't cover Parkinson's
and Motor Neurone diseases.
Another type of policy is permanent health insurance - you
are paid a regular income as long as you are off work. Again,
interpretations of being 'unable to work' vary.
That's why you would be well advised to discuss the pros
and cons with us.
